Hi everyone hope you all coping with stay at home and practicing so that when we get back together we are perfect. Trying to find new places to walk bit difficult without using the car, but a couple of videos from a walk through the woods near us. Take care, stay safe. Anne & Ron. P.S. 1 video too big to send so here's some photos instead.
Congratulations Sharon & Ian on your forthcoming grandchild.
Here is a photo of our new grandson Joshua Alexander xx Looking at the range of photos on facebook the rainbow(s) last night certainly raised people's spirits. Here're just a few - you may have your own to add to the collection :)
It's so busy being on lockdown it's untrue!
One of the things I've been doing with my extended family is a version of "Ready, Steady, Cook" using Viber and a newly created website :D The rules we've set are:
I made roasted vegetables en croute, John did a lentil, courgette and sweet potato daal. Both were very tasty. The dishes made by the others also looked fab. This week we have as our ingredients: Potato, Eggs, Butternut squash, Tuna, Lemon. It's been gread fun and has stimulated lively badinage in the group! We have relatives young and old contributing from England (N.E. and S.E, no one's inbetween), Ireland, Scotland, Portugal and New Zealand. ... It's not just Covid-19 that can be worldwide! Last week we bought a night-vision camera to capture hedgehog activity in our garden. We’ve been meaning to do this for ages, but isolation gave us the incentive to do it, and we can now review the footage each morning over a cup of coffee. After only a few nights, we have discovered that we have at least two hedgehogs, a couple of field mice and a visiting fox! I have attached a couple of stills taken from video clips.
BW Cathy THE FIRST CAKE Last week a friend delivered a surprise birthday cake - with the Argus SIngers as the theme. Five minutes later the four horsemen of the Apocalyse arrived following Boris's statement! Happy days ;). THE SECOND CAKE Orange and Almond Torte. This is the one I was planning on bringing to our social in April. I've added the recipe so you can make it for yourselves :) It's delicious. |
